RISE: COMMUNITY

RISE: Community operates through the generous commitment of volunteers who serve as Facilitators for Discussion with Adults, Classroom Assistants and Leaders, as well as members of the Hospitality and Set-up Teams. The program runs from September through April with training taking place in August. Please contact the Office for more information.

Youth RISE

Studies show that adults who practice their faith have had at least 5 adult witnesses to the beauty and truth of the teachings of Jesus Christ in their lives as young people (in addition to parents). Youth RISE is the name for our small-group youth ministry communities for high school students, built on the conviction the young people are the Church right now and need to nurtured by living witnesses of the faith. If you love your faith, and enjoy helping young people come to know Jesus and the Catholic Church, please contact the office to learn more.

 

Youth RISE Mentors meet regularly to plan events and activities for the weekly meetings (September - June) as well as annual Retreats and large-group gatherings. It is a big commitment, but well worth it. Training is provided.

 

DON BOSCO PROGRAM

The Don Bosco Program is youth ministry for Middle School Students. It meets Mondays, 2-5pm while school is in session. There are many opportunities to help, from teaching a lesson to leading a small group, or even providing hospitality or teaching of a particular skill. If you love your faith, and enjoy helping young people come to know Jesus and the Catholic Church, please contact the office to learn more.

 

OCIA (ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS​

OCIA Facilitators serve as living witnesses of the faith to those who desire to enter the Catholic Church. Facilitator Teams work under the direction of the OCIA Coordinator (usually one of our deacons). Meetings usually take place twice each month on Sunday mornings with several other special liturgical events in the parish and diocese, culminating with the reception of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Training is provided. CHRIST LIFE/EVANGELIZATION TEAM 

The Christ Life/Evangelization Team has many roles from Hospitality and Set-up to Facilitators and Team Leaders. It requires a year-long commitment that includes in-depth training and team building. Please contact the Office for more information.

BAPTISM OUTREACH TEAM

Baptism Outreach Team Members accompany families through process of preparing for the Baptism of their child(ren) and beyond, nurturing the family and encouraging their participation in our robust community of believers. This team is for Parishioners who love their faith and love people! It does require at least a year-long commitment that includes, monthly meetings and training.
